Last one!

Today we are going to go to different places and give them an Eid card and box of chocolates. We are going to go to the library, doctors, police station and also give one to our postman. We are going to say thank you for everything they do for us.

This is our last good deed for this challenge! I think didi and i have done more than 60 good deeds altogether!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day after Eid

Today we went to our neighbours houses and gave them Eid plates for our good deed!

Eid Day

Today we went visiting to all of our family for Eid - we spent time wishing them and hugging them and talking to them...mummy says this is sil-e-rahm and a very good deed.

Day 30

Today didi brought water to people who were on the stalls upstairs because they couldn't leave their stalls. She also bought mummy a watermelon afterwards.

Today i made and decorated a cake for Eid for everybody in my class because it's EID NIGHT!!

Day 29

Today we gave out gifts to our teachers for our good deed! We gave them doughnuts and we wrote on it: doughnut know what id without  a teacher like you and i dont know what id do without uncles like you.

Day 28

today didi gave her packs to the senior aunties and we both gave presents to our friends. EID is coming!

Day 27

 

Today i gave the senior citizens a bag with sweets and a note saying: '

to our special uncle you are the treasure of our community. 

may allah fulfil all of your duas this ramadan.

Day 26

Today we gave things for the food bank outside mosque. We took juice, beans, cereal and other things too! Inshallah it will help people who don't have much.

Day 25

We did lots of little things today.

I said Salaam to people (and smiled). I found someone's dua page for someone. I shared my fatiha.

Didi smiled at people (and said Salaam!). She led dua for her class.

Day 24

we had family iftaar and we wanted to give out pencils as a small gift to our cousins but we forgot! It is ready for them and inshallah we will give it next time we see them.

Day 23

Didi had an idea of giving out cold drinks- (it was rather hot) so we offered and gave out drinks to people on the road outside our house! Not that many people took one but at least we tried!

Day 22

Tonight is Laylatul qadr and so we have made some special Qadr kits to give to older children to help them with the night!

We each have made 2 and have chosen 4 (or more if they are brothers) people we want give them to. it will be fun to see their reaction!

Day 21

Today we both took in fatiha for our classes. I took starburst and cake because i fasted my first full fast and didi gave out biscuits and wafers which she really loves.

Day 20

I wrote thank you notes to all those people who donated alhamdullilah we have reached our target of 1000 and people still are giving so its really good!

Didi babysat our cousin and played with him for a long time and made him laugh and even fed him!

Day 19

Hmm...not done much different today. Or if we have we have forgotten :(.

But we have just done the usual of helping each other out and helping mummy get her rest, and also trying our best last night on amaal night to make Allah happy!

Day 18

Today we had a clear out of all the new toys and gifts that we have but that we are not going to use - we are going to give them to the Eid gift shops in our classes and the money will go to Ramadhan Relief.

Day 17

Today i helped someone who didn't know where we were in Quran the page and place we were on.

Didi took in a torch to class because yesterday was a powercut! so she wanted to help in case it happened again. It didn't but she did let lots of people use it for fun.

Day 16

Today i wrote thank you notes for my quran teacher and the lecturer.

Didi washed dishes even though mummy only told her to clear up the table so that's her good deed.

Day 15

Today we both gave a note to the car park volunteer who help us park properly and not crash. I wrote it and didi went up to him to give it.

Day 14

At mosque, i helped an uncle put out the sheets for the tables to have iftaar on.

didi did a lot today! She gave out thank you notes to all her teachers which she wrote on small sticky paper with designs on them. She also helped clear up some  tables before namaaz. and she helped look after a girl who was new to classes (and a little scared) by staying with during namaaz and food time.

Day 13 - my birthday!

I gave out cake at mosque to my friends and teachers which i made and decorated! I got a treat from my parents which i offered to share (NB. even though he can't have many other treats as he has allergies - mum). I don't think didi did any thing today.

Day 12

Today mummy said we were superstars! She is not feeling well so didi and i  have been helping and taking care of each other. Didi put the shoes properly and got me water and has been cleaning up lots. I got her toys when she was in the paddling pool and played water cannons with her.

We've lost count of deeds but we have at least done 12 for sure right!?

Day 11

I let my cousin use my Rubix cube even though it is my new gift for my birthday.
Didi kept offering help at mosque at night classes and she helped pass out things for the activity.

Day 10

We gave smile balls out today! These are yellow small balls with smiley faces on them which we bought at a pound shop. We gave them to shopkeepers and asked them to give it to the next customer and ask them to pay it forward.They really liked it and hopefully we put a real smile on some faces!

Day 9

Today because it was a Friday mummy suggested we give sadqa so we both took out some money from our wallets to give to this cause for our good deed!

Day 8

Husayn Yahya: I helped 2 people tidy up in school and i cleared up the hula hoop even though i did not take it out and i got Didi's quran because she didn't want to get up to get it.

Zainab Fatima: I saw there were some papers in our study bin that only had one side printed on so i took them out and straightened them up and put them on my pile of papers to use for my drawings/work. So I did a good deed to the earth by recycling!

Day 7

Today i didn't do a good deed. Didi also didn't as she was home most of the day because she was sick. Inshallah tomorrow

Day 6

Well two deeds for both of us then!

I brought my sister a chocolate and drink from mosque as she could not come because she was sick, and I also let someone use my pencil. 7 deeds now! I'm one ahead!

My sister gave me a water bomb to do and let me swap beds with her so that i can sleep right where the fan is hitting me! Also Zainab Fatima has let me use a lot of her mosaic masterpiece kit-so actually 3 deeds for her and so she is on 7 also!

Husayn Yahya:

yesterday i did 2 more deeds which were: getting my sisters bag for her from upstairs and letting her come through my side of the car to get to her seat!

then today i helped my mum put her shoes back. 5 for me-and i'm up to date now.

Zainab Fatima:

I did two today. I held the door open for my teacher at school and i also suggested to her (and then went on to help her) that we wash and clean some dishes. That's 4 for me!

Just today i managed to do one and it is just letting Zainab Fatima hold me for balance while she put on her sandals.

I went to my neighbours house to give them khajoors (dates) and a letter about Ramadan. And i asked them if they wanted help taking care of their pets. That's two!

Husayn Yahya:

I also went to the neighbours house too! That makes it number 2 for me.

Our new challenge!

Salaam alaikum,

My name is HusaynYahya and i am 7 years old. I have a sister called Zainab Fatima who is 5 years old. We did a Justgiving fundraiser 2 years ago (https://www.justgiving.com/Husayn-Zainab). Alhamdullilah in the fundraiser we raised 1 MILLION shillings which is £6,680 when our initial target was £1000!

This Ramadan, me and my little sister are going to try and do 1 good deed a day for the whole Ramadan. In total we will have done 60 deeds inshallah. We are writing a blog about it. We have started a bit late so we hope to do extra for the missed out days!
